https://Voice.club - He was new to the neighbourhood. One evening, feeling restless, he decided to take a stroll around. As he walked, he came upon a cathedral and stood admiring the ancient masterpiece. When he pushed the door, it opened with ease. He smiled and whispered, “Let me see what’s inside.”
Gently closing the door behind him, he looked around and loved the calm, dim ambience. He noticed light pouring in through a stained-glass window. He walked toward it and stood mesmerised by the colourful shards of glass that filtered the sunlight. Shaking his head, he thought, “How I wish my mind could have an opening for light to perpetually shine through! How I wish the windows of my chamber were not sealed by the night! How I wish my thoughts could dance in the light without ceasing!”
He let out a sigh and sat on a pew, bowing his head in prayer. “Oh, Father, I don’t know why I have come to this place. I don’t know why I feel open and different here. Please show me the path you want me to take. Help me sail across the turbulent seas each day brings, and help me understand who I truly am.” He concluded his prayer with the Apostle’s Creed.
Later, as he lay in bed, he felt an overwhelming sense of peace. He knew it was a sign that strangers wouldn’t invade his sleep and that he wouldn’t be trailed by the tendrils of the night. Although he recognised that these experiences had made him unique, he longed for some sense of freedom. A smile crept across his face as he closed his eyes, envisioning a walk through a summer field—a dream that had eluded him for so long.
