Seth stands back and critically examines the project in front of him. “It’s one of my best,” he thinks proudly.

He has been working on this for months, scribbling ideas down on paper, then trying them out, changing, adapting, revising. Now his perfect plan is becoming reality.

In his mind, the tower looms over everything around it, eliciting gasps of awe from all viewers. He pictures the rooms filled with music, songs interspersed with laughter. There is one special room just for him. Top floor, possibly? He doesn’t really like heights, but he will make an exception.

In his mind’s eye, Seth can see the tower glowing like ivory in the sunlight. Pigeons will avoid it, never wanting to destroy its beauty. Photographers will come from far and wide to praise this amazing wonder.

He sees his future with great anticipation. He becomes a famous architect, designing buildings that are built all over the world. A parade is given in his honor with streamers and gold and blue ticker tape tumbling down, the gold reflecting off the tower’s wall. A new pizza is named after him, the Seth Special, savory and sweet, pepperoni and pineapple. He can almost taste it on his tongue!

The streets are lined with children carrying balloons and jumping up and down with excitement. Their shining eyes are filled with happiness as they chant his name.

“Seth! Seth! Seth!”

A crash brings Seth back to reality.

“Mommy!” Seth cries out as only a six-year-old can. “Petey knocked over my tower again! Please make him leave me alone while I’m playing with my blocks!”

I enjoyed this story so much, @SusanGiles

I especially loved the pizza named after your hero. The last paragraph was an exciting surprise. I didn’t see that coming! I had to turn around and read it again!

Please keep these great stories coming.
